Terms of Service
Effective October 13, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Synchrony Synergy ("we", "us") for the use of EdgeGuard (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" means that company.
1. The Service
EdgeGuard watches traffic to websites that use Cloudflare, scores visitors' IP addresses, and automatically asks Cloudflare to challenge or block suspicious ones for a limited time. It also provides a dashboard and optional phone alerts. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for a business or website you run.
2. Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your business. Information you give us must be accurate.
3. Free trial
New businesses get a 14-day free trial, with no card required. If you don't subscribe by the end of the trial, protection for that business pauses until you do.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Plans are billed per website, currently $19 per month or $190 per year, plus any taxes that apply. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- We may change prices for future periods. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still can't be collected, protection pauses until the balance is paid.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the dashboard (Billing → Manage billing) or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires a refund or we decide to give one. If something went wrong, email us and we'll look at it.
6. Your responsibilities
- Only connect Cloudflare accounts, zones and websites you own or are authorized to manage, and give EdgeGuard a Cloudflare API token limited to the permissions it needs.
- Comply with the laws that apply to you and your website, including telling your own visitors that their requests are screened for security (see our Privacy Policy).
- Don't use the Service to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to any system; don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service; and don't resell it without our written permission.
7. How protection works, and its limits
EdgeGuard makes automated decisions. It can't stop every attack, and it may sometimes challenge or block a real visitor. Actions expire on their own, and you can allow or block any IP address yourself from the dashboard. You are responsible for reviewing the protection settings and for keeping your own security measures and backups. Protection depends on Cloudflare and on the forwarder being installed on your site.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on Cloudflare, Stripe and, if you turn on alerts, ntfy. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for their outages or actions.
9. Your data
You keep ownership of your data. You give us permission to use it only to provide, secure and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, improve or stop features; if we stop the Service entirely, we'll give account owners reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or others at risk, or isn't paid. Where reasonable we'll warn you first. You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time.
12. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and compensate us for claims and costs arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, email account owners before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
16. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
